We are conveniently located near three colleges and universities with international reputations - Alfred University and Alfred State (SUNY) just 8 miles away - Houghton College just is 35 miles away. An array of cultural events, museums, art galleries and shops are located in nearby Alfred, New York and the immediate area is very much suited for biking.  The Corning Glass Museum, the Finger Lakes region many award winning wine country tours (Bully Hill , Johnson Estates, Dr. Konstantin Franks, Pleasant Valley to name a few), Watkins Glen, Letchworth and Stonypoint State Parks, the Genesee Valley Village Museum, the Trappist Abbey of the Genesee, the annual Rochester Memorial Day Week Lilac Festival, Sonnenberg Gardens and car rallying at Watkins Glen are within easy driving distances. In addition, Andover, New York hosts the largest July 4th celebration in the southern tier region of the state and the annual Maple Festival the first weekend of April each year.
